
Saudi Foundation Day is declared an official public holiday which was announced by a royal decree issued on 27th January’2022 (Thursday) according to Saudi Gazette (https://saudigazette.com.sa/article/616390).
Every year 22 February will be celebrated as Saudi Founding Day in Saudi Arabia in mark of the creation of the First Saudi state in 1727 by Imam Muhammed Ibn Saud with Diriyah as its capital and the Holy Qur’an and the Sunnah of Prophet Muhammad (peace be upon him) as its constitution, and which provided unity and security in the Arabian Peninsula following centuries of fragmentation, dissension, and instability, and survived attempts of elimination.”
